Afghan Rise ("we", "us", "our"), operated by IMK Technologies, is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of every user — especially Afghan residents who register on our waiting list. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Student waiting list: First name, surname, phone number, province (not exact address), educational level, internet access status, optional internet support requirements, and teacher preference.

Contact enquiries: Name, email, subject, and message content.

Donations (when enabled): Payment information is processed by third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal) and is not stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To manage the student waiting list and match girls with educational opportunities
• To assess regional needs and resource allocation (province-level only)
• To respond to general enquiries and partnership requests
• To process donations when payment integrations are active

4. Data Security & Encryption

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption) and stored in Google Firebase Firestore with industry-standard encryption at rest. Access to student records is restricted to authorised administrators via secure, password-protected sessions. Firestore security rules deny all direct client access to databases.

5. Identity Protection for Afghan Residents

We deliberately do not collect exact physical addresses. We only request province-level location to understand regional demand while minimising identifiability. We will never publish, sell, rent, or trade student personal data to third parties for marketing or any other commercial purpose.

6. Data Retention

We retain student registration data only as long as necessary to fulfil our educational mission or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@afghanrise.org.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
